Questions about the Rolex price index

Answered from sales data, updated

How is the Rolex price index calculated?

Each of the 5 most-traded Rolex references in the index has its 7-day median sold price set to 100 on July 30, 2026. The index is the average of those readings, smoothed with a 7-day trailing average so one unusual day cannot swing it. A reading of 105 means those watches sell for 5% more than they did then. A day without enough sales for every reference in the basket is left out, never filled in.

Are Rolex prices going up or down?

The Rolex index stands at 94.0 on November 4, 2026, down 6.0% since it was set to 100 on July 30, 2026, and up 3.7% over the last 30 days. It follows the typical sold price of 5 of the most-traded references (16013, 16233, 126300, 126334, 16570).

Of the 61 Rolex references with enough sales in both of the last two 30-day stretches, 29 sell for more than a month earlier and 30 for less; the middle move is flat. The 126200 rose most (+18.1%, to $9,705). The 116233 fell most (−24.3%, to $9,190).
